Derived Equivalences from Mutations of Quivers with Potential

We show that Derksen-Weyman-Zelevinsky’s mutations of quivers with potential yield equivalences of suitable 3-Calabi-Yau triangulated categories. Our approach is related to that of Iyama-Reiten and ‘Koszul dual’ to that of Kontsevich-Soibelman. It improves on previous work by Vitória. In the appendix, the first-named author studies pseudo-compact derived categories of certain pseudo-compact dg ...

Category equivalences involving graded modules over path algebras of quivers

Let Q be a finite quiver with vertex set I and arrow set Q1, k a field, and k Q its path algebra with its standard grading. This paper proves some category equivalences involving the quotient category QGr(k Q) := Gr(k Q)/Fdim(k Q) of graded k Q-modules modulo those that are the sum of their finite dimensional submodules, namely QGr(k Q) ≡ ModS(Q) ≡ GrL(Q) ≡ ModL(Q◦)0 ≡ QGr(k Q (n)). Here S(Q) =...

Equivalences of Higher Derived Brackets

This note elaborates on Th. Voronov’s construction [V1, V2] of L∞-structures via higher derived brackets with a Maurer–Cartan element. It is shown that gauge equivalent Maurer–Cartan elements induce L∞-isomorphic structures. Applications in symplectic, Poisson and Dirac geometry are discussed.

Twisting Derived Equivalences

We introduce a new method for “twisting” relative equivalences of derived categories of sheaves on two spaces over the same base. The first aspect of this is that the derived categories of sheaves on the spaces are twisted. They become derived categories of sheaves on gerbes living over spaces that are locally (on the base) isomorphic to the original spaces. Secondly, this is done in a compatib...

Glioma-derived mutations in IDH: from mechanism to potential therapy.

Heterozygous mutations in either the R132 residue of isocitrate dehydrogenase I (IDH1) or the R172 residue of IDH2 in human gliomas were recently highlighted. Heterozygous mutations in the IDH1 occur in the majority of grade II and grade III gliomas and secondary glioblastomas and change the structure of the enzyme, which diminishes its ability to convert isocitrate (ICT) to alpha-ketoglutarate...
